Job Description

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Create/curate posts for social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Monitor owned social media accounts
  • Develop social media strategy to achieve CNSP communications objectives
  • Provide training to ships on social media use and OPSEC and online conduct and the UCMJ
  • Forecast events and upcoming campaigns that require graphics/videos to support and request their creation
  • Create occasional basic graphics and videos
  • Take photos and video of ship's arriving/departing San Diego for use on social media pages and in printed products
  • Engage with relevant influencers/followers
  • Provide social media analytic reports and insights to stakeholders for monthly reporting
  • Brief Prospective Commanding Officers/Prospective Executive Officers on social media best practices and Navy-wide policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Brief Collateral Duty Public Affairs Officers from the fleet's ships on social media
  • Monitor fleet's ships’ social media pages to ensure compliance to social media protocol
  • Curate content for the web team to post regarding ships and other fleet activities
  • Process and release official Navy photos to DVIDS

Qualifications:

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a large organization
  • Experience with photography/videographer production/post-production techniques
  • Active SECRET clearance
