Position is located in the Health Quality Investigation Unit (HQIU) Santa Ana Field Office

Under the general direction of the Supervising Investigator I, the incumbent works at the journey level providing clerical support to the investigative staff of the field office. The incumbent is responsible for preparing investigative reports, legal documents and correspondence. The incumbent will need to gain knowledge of legal and medical terminology. Additionally, the incumbent's duties include transcribing, ordering supplies, answering phones and general clerical support.

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). MUST be able to type 40 words per minute and posses a valid typing certificate

Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA’s (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals.
